A place to write about whatever God has placed on your heart
So as I'm sitting here in the truck reading the Beatitudes (Matthew Chapter 5) Which says some of the following: Resist not evil: but whosoever strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other... And if any man will sue you at the court, and take away your coat, give him your shirt off your back too. I find myself wondering, what's the catch? Does Jesus really mean to do those things, surely not... someone strikes me in the face and I'm liable to take them down fast and hard and have them arrested! But Jesus says turn the other cheek... I don't think there's any tricks here I think he really means it... Now as former law enforcement, I believe they have a job to do, as an American citizen I believe we have the right to self defense... but I think there is a special witness to someone when they are not completely attacking you to kill you but simply strike you, and you don't strike back. I think that is the point here and that living that way where you are gentle and kind to people somehow breaks them to the heart and shows them the love of Christ. Just some thoughts on Matthew 5, something to pray about how to find that balance and really freak people out with the Love of Christ.

Aren't we suppose to get some relief efforts in Haiti, where is President Obama?  Lord we pray

touch your people, we pray for miraculous interventions and healings in Haiti, we lift up all the nations

to you that they would repent from their wicked ways and turn to God in the name of Jesus!   We pray

that the nation of Haiti would be 100 percent devoted to you Lord and you would restore their land.  We

love you and thank you for taking care of us this far and for keeping us safe here in America.  Our time

is so precious and our redemption draweth nigh, Today is the Day of Salvation!  Praise God! and sleep

well tonight.  We love you Jesus!

I wanna be your hands and feet, I wanna live a life that leads,  Ready yourselves, Ready yourselves,

let us shine the light of Jesus in the darkest night,  ready yourselves, ready yourselves.  Until the whole

world hears what we are crying out, lifting up your name to all who hear and Shout, like voices in the

wilderness were crying out, as the day draws near, we'll sing until, the whole world hears. Oh! Oh! Oh!

Oh! Oh! Oh!  Sing until the whole world hears.  Let your sleeping giants rise, catch the demons by

surprise, holy nation sanctify, let ths be our battle cry.  Guitar! Guitar Guitar!  May the powers of darkness

tremble as our praises rise.  Oh! Ready yourselves, Ready yourselves!

I love this song!  It's appropriate for this time!

When we sow seed,( the body of Christ) we are expected to receive a harvest.  It pleases the Lord

to Bless us, so he can fulfill the plan he has for our lives.  Without money we cannot fullfill God's plan

in our lives nor can we have the desires of our hearts.  Since I have sowed my seed into this ministry

for the last 2 months I have been blessed supernaturally.  The Lord payed my phone bill for 2 months.

Last month I went to T-moble to pay my bill and the lady said "You have a zero balance and you were

in here on the 24th, I said no I wasn't. it must have been an angel cause it wasn't me and she looked

at me and smiled and I walked out shocked.  This month I didn't even go in and I just checked my

balance on my phone and it said zero balance, paid on the 25th of December.  Yeah rite, that's x-mas

you know I wasn't there on Christmas but Jesus was.  I just put my trust in him and expected again

and he showed up.  Praise God!  in the past, I have sowed into many ministries when the Lord did not

tell me to and my return was empty.  I just want to say if the Lord tells you to sow into this ministry or any

other one just be obedient because your heavenly father wants to bless you, he's no respector of

persons and the Bible says just like our earthly father gives good gifts to his children, how much more

our heavenly father wants to give good gifts to us!  Much, Much, more!    In these last days, the Lord

wants us to walk in Covenant Wealth to the point where were not working anymore in the world but

were fulfilling his plans for us and that plan is to prosper and have more than enough so we can give

without limits and be the lenders and not the borrowers.  The promise is ours.  Psalm 35:27.

Deuteronomy 17 & 18.  L uke 6:38.  (Proverbs 13:22).  I once owned a house and still do debt free from

this one scripture.  Deuteronomy 15:6.  and many more.

We have become aware of a family in Southwest Kansas who have tragically lost a father and husband. Jeffrey Mark Stevens, 42, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009. He leaves behind a wife Michelle & 2 children Kyle and Alicia Stevens. Please join with us in prayer for this family! I can't begin to imagine what this family must be going through with such a tragity just before Christmas. We are currently putting together a gift package for this family and ask for your prayers in the upcoming weeks. You can view the Dodge City obituary at the link below.

God Bless ~ Mike (City Church Ministires) & www.CityChurchFellowship.com

The Holidays are coming into full view, many people are depressed,

anxious, and suicidal.  Is this you?  Do you have feelings of depression,

Are you recently out of work?, How about your loved ones, is their strife

in your home or perhaps you've recently lost a loved one.  Well I want

you to know that I have been there to.  I also want you to know that there is

a solution and there is a God who loves you.  He wants to heal you from

all your emotions and create in you a clean heart.  Will you let him do that

for you today?  Simply, pray this prayer after me and say "Lord, take away

all my sin and pain and help me to love you in every way".  Heal all my hurts

and come into my heart today!  In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

"A voice crys in the wilderness,

prepare the way of the LORD,

make straight in the desert a highway for our GOD,

every valley will be raised, every mountain be made low,

and the ground it will be low, and the rough places smooth,

and then we will see the Glory of the LORD,

All eyes will see the Glory of the LORD revealed,

oh the Glory of our LORD revealed!

Go up to a high mountain, lift up your voice and sing with strength,

saying Behold, He comes in power!. . . . . .

and then we will see the Glory of the LORD, ALL eyes will see the

Glory of  the LORD revealed, oh the Glory of OUR LORD revealed.

Praise God, until we meet again,

Nancy

What do you mean my church is not a Church? We have a building and a program, we meet several times a week, we have a great pastor, we even have a sign out front that says church. How can you say we’re not a Church?

When asked, most people would describe the Church as a building with a steeple, or an organization lead by a pastor, but is this really what the Bible describes?

Have you ever checked to see?

If it is, then why are we so divided when Christ talked about a unified Church in John 17:11 and 17:23?  Some of the latest statistics are showing that there are as many as 200 different denominations in the U.S. alone and many of them refusing to even talk to each other.

If this is what the Church is, then why are we so ineffective at reaching the lost in our towns? Where is the Church spoken of in the book of Acts where whole cities were changed for God? Acts 8:4-25

These and other questions set me out on a journey to find out just what the Church is and what it really means to be a Christian in today’s generation.

The more I began to read the Word the more I began to see just how much the Christian Church of the Bible seemed to differ from what we call Church today.

One major difference was that today we see many “churches” all over any given city, yet in the early Church there was only “one Church” spoken of per city.

The Church of Ephesus Revelation 2:1

The Church of Smyrna Revelation 2:8

The Church of Pergamos Revelation 2:12

The Church of Thyatira Revelation 2:18

The Church of Sardis Revelation 3:1

The Church of Philadelphia Revelation 3:7

The Church of Laodicea  Revelation 3:14

On and on the list goes but the only time you see “Churches” spoken of is when the Bible talks about whole regions containing more than one city  for example 1 Corinthians 16:19 “…the churches of Asia salute you….”

The pattern is all over the New Testament, one city = one Church

So immediately my mind started to wonder just how we could get every Christian all over a city to meet in the same building and agree on everything?

It didn’t take me long to figure out that it just isn’t going to happen. There have already been over 200 attempts at Church reformation here in the United States alone and as many as 40,000 attempts worldwide since the day of Martin Luther. Then I recalled one definition of insanity, which is “doing the same thing over and over expecting different results”.

I then realized, that by this definition, if the Church has been seeking for unity but has been doing the same general thing to obtain it, that it must by definition be “insane”. And if I were to believe that we could fix it be getting everyone in one building then I’d have to be insane myself. So I began to search deeper in the Word for answers and found something interesting…. The Church didn’t appear to be a building or organization at all.

I found that the Biblical word for “Church” is the greek word “ekklēsia”

ek-klay-see'-ah  which referred to a community of people rather than a building or organization.  I then found in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 that the Church is referred to as “The body of Christ” verse 27, that we each have different gifts and functions verse 28 and that we all have need of each other and should be working together verse 25.  I also found that Christ is the head of this community of Christians called “The body of Christ” Colossians 1:18.

So my conclusion is that what we commonly call a church, by Biblical definition is not a Church at all but instead must be a ministry or a fellowship.  Don’t get me wrong,  a ministry or fellowship can be a great tool to further strengthen the body of Christ, just so long as we realize that a Church is the whole body of Christ in a town following His lead and not a ministry or fellowship lead by man.
